The countdown is on! In just 30 days, the Tasmania Jewels will let the reign begin in a history-making, season-opening WNBL debut on their home turf on October 15.
Fans are making history too, shooting the Jewels to a league-leading number of memberships with more than 3,100 signing up before the team has even played a game.
Memberships start from just $100 for an adult for five games, and families can join-up to watch the Jewels live in action for less than a night at the movies.
Already, the Diamond and Ruby memberships have sold out in Hobart, but there’s still plenty of Sapphire memberships available in the south, and all membership categories are up for grabs at the Jewels second home at the Silverdome in Launceston too.
“Don’t miss out,” Jewels Coach Claudia Brassard said. “We want every fan to be able to share in this once in a lifetime moment. It’s going to be epic, and our players are beyond excited to Defend the Island for Tasmanians.”
The team is shooting for a sell-out crowd for their maiden season, following in the footsteps of their clubmates the Tasmania JackJumpers, and they’re aiming to break the all-time WNBL record of around 3,331 memberships set in 2017/18 by the Melbourne Boomers too.
A Jewels Foundation Membership includes Diamond, Ruby and Sapphire options for all 11 home games, or five at the Launceston Silverdome or six at MyState Bank Arena Hobart.
With a Sapphire Membership, fans can watch the Jewels in action for just $20 per game, and for a family it’s just $58 per game for two adults and two or three kids.
Everyone who signs up as a Tasmania Jewels member for the team’s debut WNBL season will officially be crowned a Jewels Foundation Member and receive exclusive perks. Every member will be permanently etched in history with their name displayed on a Tasmania Jewels Foundation Honour Board.
They will also receive an exclusive merchandise pack, a special edition Foundation Member lapel pin, lanyard and sticker, plus credit to redeem on merchandise, rewards and experiences on the member-exclusive platform, The Ant Nest.
